PERSONAL EMERGENCY PREPARATION CHECKLIST TASK Store up on supplies listed in the Home Emergency/Disaster Kit Checklist. Fill all gas tanks (e.g. gas cans, propane tanks, automobiles). Launder your clothes. Plan for evacuation: • Determine your escape route and practice it. • Determine the amount of time needed for evacuation and allow for it. • Determine your destination options and any contingencies Advise your Financial Center Manager of your evacuation plan and contingencies. Park your automobile in a safe, accessible place to facilitate a successful evacuation. Secure insurance documents, including any pictures or video of your home and personal property. Maintain a current list of emergency phone numbers: • Family • Friends • Neighbors • Local hospital • Physician(s) • Business contacts/co-workers • Insurance agent(s) • EAP • Church or other religious group affiliations • Charitable relief groups- Plan for child-care contingencies (e.g., school closed). Get cash. Charge cell phones. Fill empty containers with drinking water. Bring pets inside. Secure the exterior of your premises (e.g. close shutters, secure lawn furniture).
